In addition to the day-to-day running of your yacht, you may wish to consider our managed charter programme which will earn you money while you are not using your boat. In broad terms, you will retain responsibility for your usual running costs and will be responsible for ensuring that the yacht is ready to charter in accordance with current MCA Coding regulations; we can offer MCA Coding advice as part of our management service. You agree with us in advance which weeks of the year we may offer your boat for charter, and we will manage its hire directly with our customers.
We will split the charter fee on a 60/40 basis. As part of our 40% fee we will handle all booking, enquiries and correspondence along with a valet service between charters. We understand fully that you will be keen to see detailed financial forecasts for your charter season. Rather than putting some broad theoretical figure on our website, we have several detailed forecast models which we would be delighted to discuss with you on a one-to-one basis. Underpinning our charter philosophy is that we are temporary caretakers of your valued asset, and as such we will always do our utmost to ensure the safety of your investment. This includes carefully checking all potential bareboat skippers' qualifications, comprehensive safety and equipment briefings before the crew depart, advice on navigation and pilotage, a helpline while the yacht is on charter and a thorough post cruise check by our team. We will consider most reasonably sized yachts, which must be in excellent condition, for our charter management scheme.
