About 4 Winds Yachting Ltd

The trading name "4 Winds Yachting Crew" is a division of 4 Winds Yachting Ltd.

4 Winds Yachting Ltd has no connection whatsoever with any other trading name or web site address which may appear similar.

4 Winds Yachting Crew is an professional crew introduction service only and circulates details of crews and yacht owners/skippers which comes from the information given by the individuals concerned.

4 Winds Yachting Ltd cannot warrant the accuracy of the details given to them and members must satisfy themselves as to the suitability and safety of any yachts on which they propose to crew and the competence of the skipper and other crew.

There are risks attached to sailing and that 4 Winds Yachting Ltd cannot be held responsible for any accident, injury loss or damage however caused as the result of an introduction.

 Ownership and security of information

All information provided by 4 Winds Yachting Ltd is subject to copyright, is privileged and provided for the exclusive use of a registered and current member of 4 Winds Yachting Ltd.

Yacht owners’ details and any other information provided will not be passed to any other person under any circumstances. Any breach of this requirement will result in immediate termination of 4 Winds Yachting Crew membership and possible legal action being taken against the individual concerned.

No part of any information or document may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted in any form by any means (electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, or otherwise), without prior permission of 4 Winds Yachting Ltd.

Membership

Membership of 4 Winds Yachting Crew is free.

Membership entitles members to request and receive personal contact details of yacht owners.

4 Winds Yachting Ltd reserve the right to refuse suspend or terminate membership at their sole discretion.

Membership is open to adults over the age of 18 with appropriate qualifications and experience. Subject to acceptance.

 By registering you authorise 4 Winds Yachting Ltd to circulate your personal details in the course of their agency. If you do not wish to have your details passed to yacht owners you have to select the option to specify this requirement. Please see our privacy policy below for full details.

Members should  promptly notify 4 Winds Yachting Ltd changes of personal circumstances such as change of address or contact details.

Information is given by the yacht owner/skipper and members must satisfy themselves as to the suitability and safety of yachts on which they propose to crew and the competence of the skipper and other crew.

 Yacht Owner Registration

Registration entitles yacht owners to have their personal details and crew requirements circulated to 4 Winds Crew free of charge via the 4 Winds Yachting website, by email, telephone or by any other means that 4 Winds Yachting Ltd considers appropriate.

4 Winds Yachting Ltd reserves the right to refuse suspend or cancel a yacht owner registration at any time at their sole discretion.

Membership is open to adults over the age of 18.

Yacht owners may validate personal crew membership details with 4 Winds Yachting Ltd subject to the terms of our privacy policy (see below).

Yacht Owner registration is available for an unlimited time period and is subject to acceptance.

By registering you authorise 4 Winds Yachting Ltd to circulate your personal details in the course of their service. If you do not wish to have your details passed to potential crew please inform us so we can make other arrangements.

Yacht owners are requested to promptly notify 4 Winds Yachting Ltd of changes of personal circumstances such as change of address, personal contact details, changes to the vessel, or changes to any advertised voyage.

Yacht owners undertake to advise 4 Winds Yachting Ltd as soon as any advertised trip is full, amended or withdrawn for any reason.

Yacht owners are reminded of their legal responsibility for the safety of their vessel and their crew at all times in accordance with International Maritime Law.

4 Winds Yachting Ltd recommends that you hold adequate insurance for your vessel, third party insurance, personal accident, sickness and life insurance cover.

Information is given by the crew member and yacht owners / skippers must satisfy themselves as to the suitability and competence of any crew they engage.

 Security and safety

4 Winds Yachting Ltd recommends that you hold adequate personal accident, sickness and life insurance cover.

All members are expected to act in a professional and respectful manner at all times.

4 Winds Yachting Ltd reserve the right to amend these crew membership Terms and Conditions as and when required in accordance with normal business practice.

The crew section is run by 4 Winds Yachting Ltd.

To protect your privacy we have published the following guidelines:

Using the Crew Section

When you use the crew section of 4 Winds Yachting Ltd and have not advised us to the contrary, you are accepting the terms and conditions described above and are consenting to 4 Winds Yachting Ltd  using your personal information accordingly.

Members may specifically request that their details are not circulated to anyone. If you choose this option 4 Winds Yachting Ltd will not include circulate your details to yacht owners. This means that yacht owners will not be able to contact you directly.

You will be able to update, correct, change or delete inaccurate details by sending us an e-mail detailing changes to your profile.

You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information on payment of a small fee.

Security

We have taken appropriate measures to ensure that your personal information is not unlawfully processed. However, no information transferred over the Internet or wireless network can be guaranteed to be completely secure.  

Minors

4 Winds Yachting Ltd crew services are not intended for minors and we ask that no one under the age of 18  submits personal information to us or uses the 4 Winds Yachting Ltd Crew section.
